"Open Site" for 500
Visitors numbering 500, guided tours through new buildings, bluegrass and hotdogs. Open day on the construction site was a success!

The Hospital Development Project invited the public to the new St. Olavs Hospital, Building Phase II, on Sunday November 23rd.

A guided tour was set up from the vestibule in the Gastro Center through the intensive care and surgical areas of the Acute Care, Heart-Lung and Gastro Centers.

The 6th floor of Gastro East was also included on Sunday’s guided tour, with a demonstration of the ward in the Hematology Unit.
For reasons of safety, the Mobility Center was not open to the public. .
“Such arrangements require a bit of work, but that is of little consequence when we succeed to the degree that we did. I saw only happy faces and heard nothing but positive comments”, says Arve-Olav Solumsmo, Public Relations Manager with the Hospital Development Project.

He thanked everyone who contributed to a successful arrangement in their free time: St. Olav employees, entrepreneurs, Hospital Development Project employees and musicians. Trondheim Parkering and Nettbuss also deserve mention for the free parking at Marienborg and shuttle bus across the bridge.
