Swisslog has supplied both AGV and pneumatic tubes for St. Olav, and decided it was a great idea to combine the annual products seminar with a bit of ‘show and tell’ in the new hospital.

- With the installed solutions of Swisslog, St. Olav created a “state of the art” logistic system, says Manager for Healthcare Nordic in Swisslog, Mr. Helge Jordal.

- The innovative solutions at St. Olav, particularly as regards efficient internal logistics, have served the end user - the patient – well. It is only recently that logistics and its impact on hospital performance has come high on the health care agenda, and we want to use this seminar to inform participants about the benefits of logistics solutions which are integral to the hospital operation, Mr. Jordal says.

Public Relations Manager for the development project, Mr. Arve-Olav Solumsmo, scoffs at any suggestion that this seminar highlights the contributions of only one supplier.

- We let anybody come, show they what we have and tell it like it is, says Solumsmo.

- It would be far worse if we dared not talk about what has been achieved. I also believe that many guests will want to take a look at the city and the hospital they have heard so much about, he adds.

The seminar (see program:

) is in English, and takes place in the capacious Women-Children Centre Auditorium.
