Phase 1 of the building programme consists of:
- Neuro Centre
- Women and Children´s Centre
- Labaratory Centre
- Patient Hotel
- Supply Centre (part 1)
- Technical Infrastructure
Total cost for phase 1 is NOK 5.1 billion (june 2003) and comprice 88 000 m2, including 27 000 university area (Medical Faculty). The complete hospital development is scheduled for completion in 2013/2014, and will by then comprice nearly 220 000 m2 at a cost of over 12 billion NOK.
The hospital is a regional centre of expertise, serving a population of 650 000 in Central Norway`s 3 counties, Nord-Trøndelag, Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal (56 000 km²).
