Phase 1 of the building programme consists of:
Laboratory Centre
Women and Children's Centre
Neuro Centre
Patient Hotel
Supply Centre
Technical Infrastructure
Total cost for phase 1 is NOK 5.1 billion (june 2003) and comprice 88 000 m2, including 27 000 university area (Medical Faculty). The complete hospital development is scheduled for completion in 2014, and will by then comprice nearly 220 000 m2 at a cost of over 11 billion NOK.
The hospital is a regional centre of expertise, serving a population of 630 000 in Central Norway`s 3 counties, Nord-Trøndelag, Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal (56 000 km²).
